Whether marketing one packaged good or launching an entirely new start-up, success takes thoughtful strategy. Where do you fit in the market? Who is your target customer? How do you create a meaningful brand journey using appropriate marketing media? That journey could start in aisle with packaging, or online with a banner ad, YouTube video, or any myriad combinations of these and other media. What matters is delivering relevant, engaging content while maintaining a consistent brand tone, both in graphic architecture and verbal identity.

As an ACD brand copywriter, delivering relevant, engaging content in the proper tone has been my business for over two decades.

• While at Mattel, I launched hundreds of products for almost every licensed and homegrown brand, crafting names, writing origin stories, creating engaging feature / benefit content for packaging, and scripting storyboards for sizzle films. And I led a fair share of successful product ideation sessions, as well.

• Working with Liehr Marketing on Toyota Accessories, I re-strategized how eCommerce copy was written for Toyota, Scion, and Lexus products, then delivered the style guide.

• During a contract at Belkin, I rebranded the entire Linksus portfolio of routers and peripherals after the brand was purchased from Cisco.

• For Yamaha, I helped set and execute the tone for their enormous booth space at the 2019 NAMM trade show.

Personally, two of my favorite things are; 1. getting a fresh creative brief or having a discovery session, 2. getting down to business.
